Keep a Marine in Springfield!

Meet Brandun

Brandun Schweizer felt a calling to serve his country when he was younger and spent his career in the United States Marine Corps. After retiring as a Master Sergeant, Brandun still feels called to serve his community as your state representative.

Brandun is honored to have been appointed to serve as the 104th District State Representative in December of 2023 and looks forward to running for a full term.

Following his military career, Brandun served the City of Danville as a Code Enforcement Inspector. He is also a member of the IBEW Labor Union.

During his deployments in the Marines, Brandun’s  wife, Amy, developed Tiny Troops Soccer, a soccer program to engage young children living on military bases with the fundamentals of the sport. Originally operating out of their hometown of Danville, the business now has 82 programs on different military bases in the United States and overseas.

Brandun and Amy reside in Danville with their three sons.

Fight Rising Costs

The rising cost of living is a significant concern for many families in our community. To alleviate this burden, Brandun believes we need to lower property taxes, reduce utility costs, and increase access to affordable housing. By taking steps to make life more affordable for residents, we can improve the overall quality of life in our community and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Prioritize Public Safety

Public safety is paramount to the well-being of our community. Brandun believes we must allow law enforcement agencies to do their jobs in order to prevent crime and ensure that our neighborhoods are safe places to live, work, and raise a family. By prioritizing public safety, we can create a more secure and prosperous community for all.

Create Local Jobs

Brandun and his wife are small business owners. He is committed to strengthening our local economy and creating job opportunities for residents. We need to attract new businesses, support existing ones, and invest in workers to ensure that folks have access to meaningful employment opportunities. By fostering a thriving business environment, we can stimulate job creation and economic growth for the benefit of the 104th.
